Position Description

The Desktop Technician will provide ongoing onsite support to our client in Whippany, NJ over the next 4 months on a full-time contract basis with potential for extension and/or conversion to a full-time employment role.  The successful candidate must be able to adjust to varying schedules, which includes working weekends, mid-day to late evening shifts, or early morning mornings to early afternoon shifts.

 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Monitor and maintain the WCS/WMS (warehouse control system) and (warehouse management system)
  • Track the status of orders being processed
  • Through Kisoft, and Fireworx (PKMS) track the position of products and sku’s as they move thru the warehouse
  • Using the WCS/WMS and Kisoft and Fireworx (PKMS)  
  • Handle various events that are reported by the KNAPP general overview system
  • Troubleshoot Windows 10 and Office 365 issues
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PC workstations, gift card printers, and hand-held barcode readers
  • Configure wireless silex boxes and hand-held RF scanners
  • Maintain Zebra label printers

Must Have Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience with the following:
    • PC and laptop hardware knowledge
    • Windows 10 troubleshooting and problem remediation knowledge
    • O365 troubleshooting and problem remediation knowledge
    • Deskside support experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Mechanically inclined, with previous laser printer repair experience
  • Hand scanner experience
  • Zebra label printer experience
  • Certifications such as CompTIA
  • Knowledge of warehouse control and management systems

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent communication
  • Be professional in front of the client always
  • Be a self-starter
  • The ability to work with minimum supervision
