    Position Description

    We are looking for candidates in the Boston, MA area. Travel is estimated at approximately 25% but could be more.


    Emtec is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented and passionate Business Development Director. This business development role will focus on Oracle’s Hub in Burlington, MA.


    The Business Development role will be responsible for managing Emtec’s relationship with the Oracle Burlington Hub.  The individual will work within the Oracle Hub to increase awareness of Emtec while also producing a pipeline of new cloud business opportunities flowing from the Hub to Emtec. The Business Development professional will also manage the life cycle of these deals from qualification to closure.


    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

    • Understanding the structure, roles and key individuals in the assigned Oracle Hub
    • Building relationships with key individuals and their teams within the assigned Hub
    • Promoting Emtec’s brand and service offerings within the assigned Oracle Hub
    • Increasing the amount of leads and business flowing to Emtec from the assigned Oracle Hub
    • Working with Oracle Hub members as well as Emtec’s practice areas to close identified deals
    • Coordinating all resources required for successful close of qualified leads
    • Handling any reporting requirements that Oracle may have around Oracle Hub participation
    • Creating and executing marketing materials aligned with the practice areas go to market strategy as it relates to the Oracle Hub
    • Supporting the pursuit team, as needed, through the proposal development stage by helping to coordinate internal and client meetings, action items, and presentation content
    • Maintaining all sales, marketing and pipeline management tools to ensure client and opportunity data is current and accurate
    • Actively participating in all required training and development needs

    Must Have Skills: 

    • Bachelor's Degree, MBA or higher, or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years of relevant IT/Software sales experience that includes:
      • Experience with Oracle products and/or services as well as prior direct sells experience either with Oracle products or with an Oracle Service Provider
      • Demonstrated ability to identify prospects, build rapport and trust, and obtain meetings with prospective clients
      • Experience selling based on business value versus just technical features and functions
      • Track record of meeting sales quotas of $2 million or more a year
      • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office

    Preferred Skills: 

    • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce.com 
    • Experience or familiarity with the following group of Oracle Products:
      • Oracle ERP Cloud
      • Oracle SCM Cloud
      • Oracle EPM Cloud
      • Oracle HCM Cloud
      • Oracle CX Cloud
    • Prior experience in a channel management capacity 
    • Experience with managing a complex sales cycle 
    • Prior experience working with or in an Oracle Hub
