    Position Description

    Emtec is seeking an Oracle Utilities Consultant with Technical Lead expertise implementing the Oracle UGBU product suite, specifically Customer Care and Billing (CC&B).   


    No relocation is required. However, candidate must be willing to travel to client locations throughout the United States, when required.

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:  


    • Performing technical design and development in Utilities (Electric, Gas, Water, and Wastewater)
    • Understanding and resolving technical implementation issues and implementing solutions using Oracle UGBU functionality
    • Strong organization and leadership skills (prioritization of tasks, schedule management, resource management)
    • Stakeholder management, including C-levels within the client organization
    • Leading the effort for to-be process design, solution configuration, development and  implementation phases
    • Developing and validating solution options for the requirements and leading solution design with the client teams
    • Working closely with the technical team throughout solution design, development, testing and go-live phases of a project
    • Understanding the problems and opportunities in the industry and helping identify IT solutions for the same
    • Being a team player and helping the project team with any technical issues that may arise during the course of the project

    Must Have Skills: 


    • More than 10 years’ experience implementing packaged solutions for utilities with specific focus on the Oracle UGBU suite, and CC&B.  Experience should include:
      • Strong understanding of Oracle UGBU suite of solutions, specifically Customer Care & Billing version 2.3 or above
      • Familiarity with process integration between CC&B and other utility enterprise and operational systems such as core ERP, OMS, GIS, Mobile, and CSS
      • Development skills and experience with SQL and Java – knowledge of Cobol is also preferred
      • Performance tuning
      • Environment set up and management
      • Oracle Utilities software installation
      • Oracle Utilities Application Framework

    Preferred Skills: 


    • Previous experience using SOA for integration
    • Knowledge of OBIA, Hyperion and EBS
    • Oracle DBA skills
    • Exposure to the Municipals/Co-Ops/City-based segment of the US Utilities industry

    Professional Skills: 


    • Excellent communication and analytical skills
