Position Description

We are searching for a hard-working, independent, and enthusiastic Education Sales Executive to join our team!  Whether you're continuously hunting and prospecting for new business or growing existing accounts, you'll leverage your expert consultative skills to identify opportunities and recommend tailored solutions to meet customer's needs.  By understanding company, market, and industry trends, you will promote Emtec's services and product offerings to Education clients.


This position will also manage a large number of leads for a cloud-based system that is tailored for the education market. These leads will be teachers and administrators looking for a solution that will improve student outcomes in the classroom and allow administrators to have insight into the daily progress of their students.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build a productive pipeline and manage each phase of the sales process

  • Provide customers the appropriate solutions to achieve sales goals and maximize customer satisfaction

  • Develop strategies, tactics and account plans to identify, qualify and secure new clients

  • Cultivate and maintain long term relationships with clients by delivering outstanding client service

  • Source and close new clients through referrals, networking, and other means (tradeshows, regional organizations, etc.)

  • Product information management

  • Formulate sales plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

  • Assisting the company with innovative ideas to improve processes and performance

  • Facilitation of customer service issues; reviewing/processing sales orders; month-end order tracking; customer shipping/billing assistance

  • Assist in territory administrations of bids/proposals/contracts

  • Rental and demo staging; setup of trade shows and conferences

 Must Have Skills:


  • At least 2 years sales experience

  • A proven track record in achieving sales targets and ability to manage a territory independently

  • Education industry knowledge/experience is required

  • Must be able to make decisions and resolve problems using experience and professional judgment, and provide advice or analysis regarding the use of funds, equipment, and people

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent)

Preferred Skills:


  • Selling in a quota-based external environment preferred, but not required
  • PreK-12 Classroom experience is valuable
  • Knowledge of Audio Visual / IT / Presentation / Communications industry helpful, but not required
