    Position Description

    Emtec is seeking a Customer Care & Billing Consultant with Functional Lead expertise implementing the Oracle CC&B product suite. No relocation is required; however, candidate must be willing to travel to client locations throughout the United States. Travel is variable based on project but is expected to be between 25 and 50% annually.


    The typical responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Lead CC&B implementation projects in Utilities (Electric, Gas, Water, and wastewater).
    • Lead the effort for to-be process design, configure package, develop, and implement phases
    • Strong organization and leadership skills (prioritization of tasks, schedule management, resource management)
    • Understand key implementation issues and implement solutions using Oracle CC&B’s functionality
    • Stakeholder management, including C-levels within the client organization business process design
    • Should be able to suggest and validate solution options for the requirements and lead the solution design with the client teams
    • Work closely with the technical team throughout solution design, delivery, testing, etc
    • Understand the problems and opportunities in the industry and help identify IT solutions
    • The candidate must be a team player and is also expected to help the project team with any functional issues that may arise during the course of the project

    Must Have Skills:


    • 10-15 years of total IT industry experience, with at least 5-7 years in implementing package solutions in Customer Care & Billing area for Utilities
    • Expert understanding of Oracle Customer Care & Billing version 2.4 or above
    • Familiarity with process integration of CC&B with other utility enterprise and operational systems such as core ERP, OMS, GIS, Mobile, and Work and Asset Management
    • Previous experience using SOA for integration

    Preferred Skills:


    • Development experience in COBOL, Java or both
    • Experience managing smaller projects or initiatives

    Professional Skills:


    • Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and analytical ability
