Position Description

Candidates in Northern California are preferred. Up to 50% travel required.

 

Emtec is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented and passionate West Region sales leader that has demonstrated a successful track record of making sales reps more successful. This is a player-coach role that will be responsible for carrying an individual quota and a team quota. The successful candidate will contribute to corporate strategy as a valued member of the executive team. When not training and developing the sales team, this person will be an integral force in implementing strategies, improving operational methodologies, or reviewing performance benchmarks. As a result, this person will be boots on the ground with their sales hat on and their sleeves rolled up, engaged with enterprise customers.

 

This position will wear multiple hats:

  •  Manager
    • Evolve a framework for the sales team: processes and metrics to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives
    • Ensure that the team is scalable and well positioned to produce consistent results
    • Build and maintain business relationships with partners and customers to achieve company growth
    • Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate new markets
  • Player-Coach
    • Carry an individual and team quota
    • Act as a mentor and coach to salespeople
    • Define processes and metrics and monitor the progress of team members
  • Leader
    • Inspire sales representatives and account managers to follow defined processes
    • Keep the team fired up and on track to achieve defined goals
  • Executive
    • Facilitate successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch.
    • Foster an organization of continuous process improvement
    • Build bridges with colleagues and peers while also ensuring that the needs of both the company and department are met 

Must Have Skills:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA or higher
  • At least 10-15 years sales experience in comparable industries and a minimum of 4 years in a senior management position that includes:
    • Oracle Applications selling experience that includes Oracle Cloud ERP, Oracle Cloud HCM and/or Oracle Cloud EPM
    • Track record of achieving quota targets and enabling sales reports to achieve theirs
    • Experience in strategic planning and execution including knowledge in defining sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
    • Excellent track record of managing a growing team in different geographical locations
    • Strong forecasting and reporting capabilities
    • Experience working closely with Delivery to close feature gaps and ensure customer satisfaction, with Marketing to optimize lead generation and messaging, and with Finance to implement incentive programs to support sales goals
    • Deep knowledge of Cloud Computing, either through work at industry participants or consulting to the industry
    • A high degree of business & financial acumen, with in-depth knowledge of current and possible future practices/trends
    • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
    • Knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations
    • Experience in planning marketing & sales strategies, advertising campaigns, and successful public relations efforts
    • Established relationships at the C-Suite level
