Position Description

Emtec is currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to help drive lead generation and content creation activities. This position will develop, execute, manage, measure and optimize email and digital marketing campaigns including the development of underlying content required to increase prospect engagement and drive successful lead development initiatives.

 

This position will also be responsible for working with our practice teams to strategize, plan, and implement integrated marketing plans that include branding, lead generation, digital marketing and thought leadership activities throughout the year.

 

Location is negotiable but Chicago is preferred. 

 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): 

 

  • Grow new leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, thought leadership, educational content and email campaigns.
  • Develop and manage project plans, drive content deliverables, and see campaigns through to completion.
  • Coordinate with internal sales and practice divisions for timely approvals /execution of content development, email campaigns and lead nurturing programs.
  • Perform day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, crafting messaging, email campaign design, editing, testing, and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered and dynamic content-driven campaigns.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation, tracking and other aspects of email execution, as required.
  • Work with internal and external web development resources to drive SEO/SEM strategies and tactics.
  • Develop and coordinate social media marketing activities related to promotion of campaigns and thought leadership
  • Establish closed-loop analytics (from lead to close) to track inbound marketing activity and provide continuous process improvement.
  • Develop supporting content for sales process including presentations, case studies, and brochures.

Must Have Skills: 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Overall experience of at least 5 years and a minimum of 3 years B2B marketing experience that includes:
    • Experience with automated email tools such as Hubspot, ExactTarget, Marketo or Pardot
    • Ability to work with CRM and subscriber databases (Salesforce.com)
    • Basic working knowledge of Google analytics and search-based campaigns
    • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge to troubleshoot coding problems
    • Strong skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Familiarity with best practices for email creative and templates, segmentation, dynamic content, landing pages, calls-to-action, and testing methodologies
    • Experience in Lead Generation, Nurturing, and Scoring
    • Ability to manage a database and segmentation
    • Ability to craft attention-grabbing messaging focusing on business value

Preferred Skills: 

 

  • Knowledge of  Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Experience working in related industry - IT or Professional Services

Professional Skills:

 

  • Ability to operate independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent Project Management skills to meet deadlines, manage multiple campaigns, and track details effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the company in an articulate, professional manner
  • Outstanding writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, spelling and punctuation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other team members
  • Proactive, inquiring, analytic, energetic personality that is driven to deliver quantifiable results
